Hello, I'm Atreya!
Originally hailing from India, I pursued my bachelor's degree in law and arts there. My academic journey led me to Turin, Italy, where I completed my master's degree in law, specializing in intellectual property rights. As destiny would have it, the COVID-19 pandemic extended my stay in Italy, and I found a rewarding job here.
Currently, I work as a legal associate at a small law firm in Italy. I manage the trademark and plant variety rights portfolios for international clients, providing expert advice on registration, opposition, and litigation processes. My role demands strong negotiating skills and a keen eye for detail, as I handle multiple deadlines and extensive documentation for the IP Department.
I am proud to have co-authored a book chapter on the Gandhian approach to Indian IP, delving into the ethical and social implications of intellectual property in today's world. This work reflects my research and writing abilities, as well as my dedication to exploring the broader impacts of IP law.
Resilience and determination have defined my journey. Despite the challenges non-Italian speakers face in the legal field, I am dedicated to creating opportunities for myself in Italy. My goal is to keep honing my expertise and to contribute to various fields where I can leverage my skills to provide valuable services.
